Lion King on Broadway
A couple weeks ago I went with my mother and brother to New York. There we ate a brief lunch at the Marriot. Then we walked to a theater where we saw Mary Poppins a long time ago. This time were going to see the Lion King, which I was really excited about.
We got good seats on the side and could see the show clearly, and it was fantastic! I loved all the amazing costumes that looked so real. The actors were really good, and I felt like I was there. The hyenas were kind of scary, because they kept making this high-pitched sort of cackle, and my brother had to hide his eyes. But the show was also hilarius, because the bird, Zazu, kept going on about how he would be better treated in Mary Poppins, which is the next play they’re doing, so it kind of gives you a sneak peek.
But I think my favorite part of the show was all the songs. They were all really pretty, exept for the evil one Scar sings. They were all the type of melody that makes you want sing, but you can’t, since you’re in a theater, so the second you get outside you burst out into song.
I really loved the Lion King, and if you see it, I hope you like it too.

I really liked all the wonderful captions for the contest. It was a very close call, but I had to go with, “To be on the safe side I’m going vegetarian this Christmas.” Congratulations Mr. E! I thought all the captions were really funny. Great job to all of you!

What I Did In New Zealand
We left for New Zealand on Monday November 7, and got there on Wednesday morning. What we did there:
Wednesday- We saw the house, and we also saw the three chickens and the lamb that live on the farm there. Then we walked down the farm road and saw cows.
Thursday- I bottle-fed Chicken Little, the lamb. I took a ATV up a mountain. Then my mom and I went to a ballet class.
Friday- We went to the market to see my friends dance and play drums.
Saturday- We picked up the new baby lamb,…Wolfie. Then we went to Lyttleton to do some shopping a the market.
Sunday-We went to the coast, to the Hilltop restaurant, (saw Ninja the pig) the bird sanctuary, and the soap store. Then we left on Monday. Here is a slideshow of my trip:

This weekend, my mom, brother and I went to New York City. We had breakfast in Chelsea, walked the High Line to Greenwich Village, walked through Central Park and visited a few bakeries. I took some pictures by Strawberry Fields and the Imagine (written in stone on the ground). We saw the finish line of the NYC marathon. We are now taking the train back to Connecticut.
